Dverberg Church

Dverberg Church ((ノルウェー語:Dverberg kirke)) is a parish church in the municipality of Andøy in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Dverberg on the island of Andøya. The church is part of the Dverberg parish in the Vesterålen deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland.
==History==
The old church at Dverberg was destroyed by lightning in the winter of 1734. It was probably repaired and was standing there for another hundred years until it was replaced. The new church (the present church building) was built in 1843. It is an octagonal timber church. The church was consecrate on 17 October 1843. It was designed by Christian Heinrich Grosch and it seats about 350 people. In 1930, there was a major restoration. Augustinus Johannessøn Sellevold (1803-1893) who was a member of the Norwegian Parliament from Nordland and Arctic explorer Torstein Raaby were both buried in the church cemetery.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Kirkegårdene i Andøy )
